Abstract:
Indian pharmaceutical enterprises can optimize their business process execution in order to retain a competitive edge in market place by automating their business processes. Business processes includes gathering, distributing, analyzing and integrating data for the strategic decision making and processing of the company. Automation provides quality software for employees and managers to logically plan and execute complex workflows simply. The automation software will be developed in accordance with the requirements of a pharmaceutical company Leben Laboratory P.V.T. L.T.D., Maharashtra. They already have DOS based application system.

Drawbacks of existing system:
Its allows only Single User mode.
It does not supports Graphics.
It does not provide the feature of Networking.
MS-DOS is very old by computer standards and not compatible with most programs and applications now a days.

Proposed System:
The automation software with interactive GUI will be created using the Microsoft Windows development tools to overcome drawbacks of current system. The design of the software will be such that it provides quick access to the information or process that is needed and is easy to use. It will be a suite of programs including Creating ledgers, Inventory management, Sales order processing, Account management, Billing terms, and Generating reports. Automation permits remote deployment of automated business processes allowing employees and managers to streamline their processes across a network in addition to providing them an extra level of security through private user name and password. Mobile phone utility provides the application software to be used remotely via cell phones. The software will be used by the managers and employees on their cell phones as a mobile application. This will make it convenient and
portable for them to automate the business processes and have an immediate access over the information for decision making.

Scope of Project:
The proposed system will give an interactive way to access the information so as to improve the performance of the company to a great extent as compared to current system. Bringing functionalities in mobile will help manager manage things in efficient way by remotely accessing the database.
